Who We Are
Chief Consultant
Andres C. Salazar, PhD has over ten years experience as a college faculty member, research professor, honorary chair or department chair, dean, associate provost, and finance executive in higher education institutions.. He has been awarded and/or managed grants or research contracts as Prinicpal Investigator (PI) or Co-PI from the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Education, the Kauffman Foundation, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Mission Research (AFRL subcontract), the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA), NASA-SATOP, the Public Service Company of NM (PNM) and the 48th Legislative Session of New Mexico. Before joining academia Dr. Salazar was President and CEO of a public company in the Atlanta area and has over three decades of industrial experience as a researcher, manager, director, corporate executive at AT&T Bell Labs and several high tech companies in four different eastern states in the electronics or telecommunications fields. In representing these companies as a corporate executive he has traveled to numerous countries in Europe, South America and Asia. While on leave from AT&T Bell Labs for one year he was employed by the ITU division of the United Nations, serving as a telecom expert at the Secretaria de Comunicaciones y Transportes in Mexico City. Currently, he is Research Professor at the University of New Mexico (UNM) and is a member of the American Evaluation Association. A native of New Mexico, Dr. Salazar received a PhD in electrical engineering from Michigan State University, was awarded an MBA from Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh Business School) in the U.K. and was honored as Distinguished Engineering Alumnus in 2002 from the School of Engineering at UNM.

For projects requiring more staffing, Dr. Salazar teams up with appropriate colleagues belonging to a network of educational consultants who can assist in the areas listed above. Members of the network include principals and staffers from David Trujillo & Associates, Escala Educational Services, Inc. and Prather Consulting.
